Aachen Animal Welfare Award

The Faculty of Medicine at RWTH Aachen University is making a clear commitment to animal welfare and research innovation and invites submissions for the 5th Aachen Animal Welfare Award!

Grants of €1,500 are offered for each category (Replacement, Reduction, Refinement)!

Participation and Details: All members of RWTH can submit a publication, dissertation, or a two-page project proposal by November 11, 2024, to Univ.-Prof. Dr. Dr. Dr. Groß (Contact: dgross@ukaachen.de). Submissions from last year that were not selected may be resubmitted this year. The focus is on supporting scientific work that promotes the 3R concept according to Russell and Burch—research that replaces, reduces, or improves conditions for laboratory animals.

The award ceremony will take place during the annual conference of the 3R Competence Network NRW on December 5, 2024, in Aachen.
