From the organizers:

"Our next 3Rs Training Webinar will take place on Tuesday, August 6, at 1 pm EST/ 7 pm CEST.

Dr. Nils Haep from Charité Berlin will present his work which focusses on understanding genetic influences in non-alcoholic steatohepatitis and developing innovative disease models. Being aware of the limitations of animal models, Dr. Haep is an advocate for humanized models to better mimic human disease states. His work underscores the importance of humanized disease models in translational research.

Bio sketch

After completing his medical studies in Düsseldorf, Dr. Haep worked on humanized organ models. He developed his passion for liver research and genetic influences in non-alcoholic steatohepatitis as a postdoctoral fellow at the Liver Research Center of the University of Pittsburgh, USA. He is currently a fellow of the Clinician Scientist Program at the BIH and a fellow for liver surgery at the Charité."
